                 Understanding Rectangles

Rectangle is a flat two-dimensional wake formed by two pairs of ribs, each equal in length and parallel to the partner, and has four corners, all of which is a right angle.

Referred to as the length of the longest rib (p) and the shortest side is referred to as the width (l). 



Properties of Rectangles

·         Opposite sides of equal length and parallel

·         At large angles is a right angle = 90 degrees

·         It has two diagonals that are equal and bisect each other

                  Formula of the perimeter and the area of the Rectangles

           Formula of  the perimeter is :

              2(l+w)

 

Formula of the area is :
