    Understanding Trapezoids

Trapezoid is a flat two-dimensional wake formed   by four ribs which only two are mutually parallel but not equal in length.

   THE TYPES OF TRAPEZOID

-         Any trapezoid, which is the fourth trapezoid ribs of unequal length. Trapezoid has no fold symmetry and rotational symmetry.
-         Isosceles trapezoid, the trapezoid that has a pair of ribs of the same length, in addition to having a pair of parallel ribs. This trapezoid has one fold symmetry and a rotational symmetry.
-         Right angled trapezoid, the trapezoid in which two of the four corners are right angles. The ribs are aligned perpendicular to the height of this trapezoid.

Properties of Trapezoids
Properties of the Trapezoid is :
a.     Has two parallel sides
b.     Has two sides are not parallel.
c.     In every trapezoid ,the sum of two adjacentinterior angles between the two parallel sides is 180 degree.

    Trapezoid area formula
Area : The number of parallel sides multiplied by height divided by 2 or
 (AB + CD) x height
              2
     Circumference of the Trapezoid formula
Circumference : The sum of the four sides of the existing or (AB + BC +CD + DA)
